You must know that if you decide to visit the Costa Tropical in southern Spain, you have various alternatives. You can either land in the international Malaga Airport, Granada or Almeria. Depending on what part of the coast you´re going to, you will be able to judge which airport would be the closest to your destination. Whichever way you choose you will not take more than an hour and a half to get to where you want to go.
By Highway
If you´re driving, the highways that will take you down to the Costa Tropical are the following:
N-340 If you´re coming from Costa del Sol or the coast of Almeria.
N-323 If you are coming from Granada. This road unites Granada with Motril.
If you are coming from Madrid, you must take the Nacional IV until you get to Granada, and their exit on the N323. If you´re coming from Seville or from the north of Almeria you must take the A-92 until you get to Granda and then take the N-323.
There are buses that take you to Costa Tropical from practically every bus station in the coastal cities of Andalusia, as well as Granada and Madrid.
By Train
The Tropical Coast doesn´t have a train station, therefore you must first get to Granada as the main destination, and from the capital of the province, take a bus to the Costa Tropical.
By Boat
There are a few nearby marinas that are commercial where you can dock. The International Malaga Port, Almeria-Motril, Almunecar. |
